The 7th Annual Englefield 10K Charity Run, organised by The Rotary Club of Reading Abbey and Tadley Runners, is due to take place on August bank holiday weekend at Englefield House, Theale.
The multi-terrain run, which had more than 300 participants last year, is one of three events taking place. An under-15's 3.5K run and a 'treasure hunt' around the park have also been organised to appeal to younger participants.
The private estate has been opened for this event by permission of the Benyon family, allowing access to the Englefield Deer Park and woodlands.
Reading YMCA will receive 100 per cent of the funds raised to invest in tools and equipment for their skills workshop. The workshop is used by apprentices on the YMCA Y-Build project. The project aims to help young people equip themselves with skills to obtain jobs such as bricklaying, carpentry and electrics.
Registration is now open at www.englefieldrun.info. On August 28, registration begins at 9.30am with the run beginning at 11am.
