A YOUNG boy was rescued by firefighters after he got stuck up a tree.
Firefighters from Caversham Road fire station were called to Wensley Road in Coley Park on Wednesday afternoon.
When they arrived, they found an 11 year-old boy perched precariously in the branches.
"He had been up there for about half an hour," said Watch Manager Philip Clark.
"His leg was wedged and he was a bit scared."
Watch Manger Clark said the boy was safely brought down using what he described as "the old fashioned method. We led him down a ladder.
"He was fine in the end."
