PADWORTH College saw a rise in its overall A Level pass rate this year.

The college, based in Padworth village, saw its overall pass rate rise to 93%, with 29% of students collecting A* and A grades.

Talented Bohan Liu, who already had A and B grade A levels from last summer, picked up a further two A* and A grade passes.

Lezhi Wang matched Bohan with two A* and two A grades passes in addition to a B grade, while Bui Anh Nguyen collected two A* and one A grade. All three are off to university at Imperial College and Bath.

Principal John Aguilar said he was very proud of Padworth's A Level students who had achieved richly deserved results.

He said: "These are directly attributable, not only to their hard work, but also to the quality of teaching delivered at the xollege.

"The secret lies in our educational philosophy which aims to inspire individual uniqueness and encourage personal talents through a highly differentiated learning approach in small classes.

"Our students embrace the mind-set of global citizenship which creates an enormously enriching atmosphere of mutual support."
