PUPILS at Bulmershe School are celebrating after the best ever year of results at the Woodley-based school.

Emma Reynolds, headteacher, said: "We have achieved tremendous results, particularly at the higher grades of A* and A, with 30 per cent of all grades as A*/A and 47 per cent of all grades at A* to B.

"There were especially good performances from a whole range of subjects for example in computing everyone received a distinction or distinction* results which really do reflect the determination and work ethic of our students.

"Our year 12 results are equally impressive paving the way for an excellent final year in sixth form.

"We wish our leavers all the best for their bright futures ahead and thank them for their many contributions to school life."

High flying students included Thomas Deal, who got 3A*s in chemistry, maths and physics. He'll be going to Southampton to study civil engineering.

Maisy Inston will be off to Exeter to study zoology after getting three As in biology, chemistry and maths.
