THE JOHN Madjeski Academy is celebrating one of its best ever set of results.
Principal Nicola Maytum praised the Upper Sixth for the hard work and effort that led to 50 per cent A* to B, 75 per cent A* to C and 99 per cent A* to E.
Amongst those going off to study come September is Tom Deed, who is going to Heriot-Watt to study Bio-Sciences and Helen Papworth, who is going to Aberysthwyth to study Genetics.
Mrs Maytum said: “Everybody has found themselves either on a university course or on an apprenticeship, which is fantastic.
“We have also had several pupils who have scholarships, including three boys who are going to the US to play football.
“What is special about our community is that we have high expectations of our students and that they really understand that.
“It is great to see all their hard work paying off.”
