THE BLESSED Hugh Faringdon School bagged a vintage set of grade on A Level result day this year. 

At A Level 50 per cent were A* to B, 69 per cent were A* to C and 95 per cent were A* to E.

Amongst those heading off to university were Elizabeth Gimmy, who is going to Portsmouth to study Pharmacy, Germina Do Rego who is studying Bio-Medicine at Kent and Mollie Barker, who is studying Forensic Science at Staffordshire.

Headteacher John Casey said: “Many congratulations to students and staff on their exceptionally hard work paying off by achieving, yet again, these outstanding results.

“Success at A level or BTEC requires hard work and determination but the desire to achieve a University place of choice is a powerful motivator over the course of the two years of study.”

Stand out results were also picked up by Aiden Ryan, Dominic Grifferty, Shanae Argent, Shiovan McGuire, Mercy Boamah and Mirabel Antwi-Boakye who scooped A* , A and Distinction Plus levels in a variety of subjects.
