A 19-year-old man from Whitley was pulled from his bedroom by firefighters after his ground floor flat caught fire.
He was rushed to hospital after suffering severe smoke inhalation.
Crews from Ascot, Wokingham and Caversham Road were rushed to Newscastle Road at 12.44am on Thursday July 21.
Steve Borham, crew manager at Bracknell fire station said: "One 19 year old rescued from his bedroom, he was sent to hospital with severe smoke inhalation there was one vehicle from Reading others from Ascot and Wokingham."
David Gallagher from the South Central Ambulance Service said: "We were called by the fire service at 12.43am to one patient they had rescued from a fire and thought required our attention.
"The man was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital."
