HUNDREDS of balloons were released by pupils at a Tilehurst Primary School in recognition of their recent 'Good' Ofsted report.

Blue dots filled a grey mid-summer Monday sky as Moorlands Primary School came together to celebrate shedding the 'requires improvement' judgement handed to them in February 2014.

Following the May report, Ofsted inspectors commented on the supportive and stimulating work environment, good pupil behaviour and strong leadership now seen at the school.

Nicola Browne, Executive Headteacher, said: “Throughout the report the inspectors have noted how the hard work and dedication of all staff and governors, has contributed to the improvements that have been made.

“This hard work, coupled with the determination of our children and support of our parents and carers is what has helped to drive up the standard of education offered at our school.

“I am proud to be part of this team and am looking forward to exciting times ahead.”
