JEREMY Corbyn will speak at the inaugural meeting of a human rights organisation on June 25.

Defenders of Human Rights for All (DOHRFA) will meet for the first time at the Pakistan Community Church on London Road between 2 and 10pm.

Mr Corbyn, who is currently leader of the Labour Party and has built a career on championing grass roots campaigning groups, will speak alongside Liberal Democrat councillor Ricky Duveen and Conservative councillor Edward Hopper.

They will be joined by Pauline Long, Universal Peace Federation Ambassador for Peace Global and Lukman Harees, a human rights author.

Charle Ndlovu, DOHFRA Trustee, said: “DOHRFA is a global human rights organization which promotes  and protects universal recognized human rights and fundamental freedoms.

“Some of our objectives are to monitor abuses of human rights both locally and global and to relieve the suffering and distress of individuals who are victims of human rights abuse.”
