A MOTHER and daughter have both died after a family car veered off the M4 and crashed into a tree.
The woman, aged 37, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash between junctions 11 and 10 of the eastbound carriageway on May 7.
On Monday her three-year-old daughter, who was also in the silver Ford Focus C-Max, died in hospital of her injuries.
The father and five-year-old daughter from the Middlesex family survived the collision without serious injury.
The crash took place at around 2.10pm A spokesman for Thames Vallery Police said: "There were four occupants; a 37-year-old woman, a man in his late thirties and two girls aged three and five.
"Sadly, the woman, who is from Middlesex died at the scene.
"The other three occupants were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where they were treated for their injuries.
"We have been informed that sadly the three-year-old girl died at hospital on Monday, May 9."
