THIS is the practice video of a Reading couple who had their planned terrorists attacks thwarted when they asked Twitter followers for advice.

In the mobile phone footage a homemade bomb can be seen to explode in the back garden of Mohammed Rehman's home in Radstock Road, Newtown.

Further photographs taken from the scene reveal the stockpiled chemicals and weapons that had been stored by Rehman and bankrolled by his wife Sana Ahmed Khan, 24, of Hutton Close, Earley.

The married couple had discussed setting off explosives at an undecided location in London and had been caught out when Rehman posted details online.

In a question on Twitter the 25-year-old - who went by the name of 'Silent Bomber' - asked: "Westfield shopping centre of London underground? Any advice would be appreciated greatly."

They are currently on trial at the Old Bailey in London jointly charged with preparing for acts of terror in the UK.

Speaking on the first day of the trial prosecutor Tony Badenoch QC said: "The evidence suggests that the London Underground may well have been on his mind as a potential target as Mohammed Rehman was particularly fixated with the events of 7/7 and he referred to Shehzad Tanweer, one of the 7/7/ bombers, as his 'beloved predecessor'."

The court also heard how the pair had known each other for 10 years but wished for their relationship to be kept a secret from their families.

The trial continues.
