Police are appealing for witnesses after a gang launched an attack on a 35-year-old man in a church car park in Woodley last Wednesday.
Five men knocked the victim to the ground in the car park of St James Church in Kingfisher Drive at aoround 6.10pm on November 4 although nothing was stolen.
The victim received cuts and bruises in the attack.
Members of the public who were in the car park at the time have been urged to come forward and contact police with any information.
The offenders are Asian, wearing dark blue hoodies and baseball caps and carrying baseball bats.
Anyone with information should contact the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.
