Thames Valley author and poet AF Harrold and Children's Laureate Chris Riddell are set to entertain children at the start of half term.

The duo will be performing at Waterstones Reading, Broad Street, on Monday October 26.

From 3pm the pair will be astounding youngsters as Ashley performs some of the poems from new book "Things You Find in a Poet's Beard" and be enthralled as Chris illustrates live. This will be followed by a book signing.

The collection of poems in 'Things You Find in a Poet's Beard' have been performed for children at schools, bookshops and festivals across the country. The book is illustrated by Chris Riddell and printed using dyslexie font the typeface for readers with dyslexia.

A spokesman for Waterstones said: "This event is not ticketed and free of charge so early arrival is encouraged as it will be very popular."

At 11am on the same day the duo will be also performing at Chapter One Bookshop in Woodley.
