Guitar and ukulele students of teacher David Herries took part in a student concert at Arborfield Village Hall giving most of them the opportunity to experience playing in public for the first time.
Students of all ages took to the stage to showcase their burgeoning guitar and ukulele talents, playing music that ranged from traditional classical through to contemporary rock songs even via a traditional Venezuelan Waltz, with many of the students choosing to sing as well.
Mr Herries said: “I’m so proud of everyone that got up to play. It can be really nerve-racking the first time you play in public but they all handled it incredibly well. Hopefully this will be the first of many public gigs for them.”
Based on the success of the day, Mr Herries, of East Reading, is considering organising another show after having requests one for Christmas.
