IN A clampdown on human trafficking and immigration offences, three women have been charged under the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006.

Operation Rehoboam saw Thames Valley Police carry out a number of warrants at addresses across the country on Tuesday 17 March. One woman from Reading has been arrested along with two other women from London.

Hanh Minh Tran, aged 34, of Waylen Street, west Reading, has been charged with three counts of employing adults who had not been granted leave to enter or remain in the UK.

Huong Thu Hoang, aged 30, and Thu Ho, aged 56, both of Katherine Close, Woodberry Grove, London, have been charged with three counts of employing adults who had not been granted leave to enter or remain in the UK.

All three are all due to appear at Reading Magistrates’ Court on September 16.

The Force was supported by the National Crime Agency, UKBA, Immigration Crime Team, Metropolitan Police Service, North Yorkshire Police and North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue.
