Family wild days READING charity Nature Nurture is offering free family days out in the open next week.

The Wantage Road-based charity is offering Family Wild Days throughout August.

Nature Nurture invites parents and children aged between two and 12 years to get out into the wild and experience some nature away from the TV screen, like hunting for bugs, building dens, making clay creatures, creating wild art or music and spotting wildlife.

Director Natalie Ganpatsingh said: “We’re on a mission to make Reading Go Wild-our workshops are all about getting families outside and having fun together in Reading’s great outdoors. We believe that it’s vital for the next generation to value our precious wild spaces.”

The fun is available on Wednesday, August 5, at Arthur Newbery Park, Tilehurst, between 10.30am-3.30pm, Thursday, August 6, at Palmer Park, off Wokingham Road, east Reading, between 10.30am-3.30pm, and Friday, August 7, Prospect Park, West Reading, as part of Reading Play’s ‘Play Day’, 10am and 4pm and Saturday, August 8, Waterloo Meadows, off Elgar Road, Katesgrove, between 10.30am and 3.30pm.
