A WOMAN motorist escaped serious injury when her sports car ploughed into a brick wall on a country road yesterday.
The driver, believed to be in her 30s, was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital with minor shoulder and abdominal injuries when she lost control of her Ferrari 458 Italia in Wasing Lane, between Aldermaston and Brimpton at 6pm.
Crews from Dee Road, Newbury and Mortimer fire stations and Dee Road cut through the near side door to free her from the badly damaged car.
A man travelling in the car with her was also taken to the same hospital with whiplash.
