A TEENAGER who died after a two car smash in Winnersh has been named locally as Jack Allison.

The 18-year-old former Emmbrook School student, who lives in Wokingham, died at the Royal Berkshire Hospital just hours after his black Volkswagen Golf was in collision with a white Ford Transit at the junction of King Street Lane and Reading Road at the Winnersh Crossroads at 8.55pm on Wednesday.

Ann Watkins, from Wokingham, who taught Jack at Hawthorns Primary School, said: "Jack was a cheerful member of our Year Five class. He was friendly and sociable with a good circle of friends.

"Even at such a young age during his time at Hawthorns, it was clear to see he had the potential to do well in life. How sad this has been so tragically cut short."
