A MAN has been taken to hospital following a microlight plane crash near Aldermaston.
Fire crews worked for an hour to cut the pilot free from the plane after it crashed in Brimpton Airfield this afternoon.
Crews from Dee Road and Whitley Wood attended at around 2pm along with specialist rescue teams from Hampshire.
The pilot was thought to be carrying out routine procedures and climbing away from the airfield before losing height and banking to the left.
He was airlifted to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford where he is said to be in a stable condition.
