Appeal for witnesses after apparent suicide attempt

A POLISH man is critically ill in hospital after an apparent suicide attempt.

The unnamed 31-year-old was admitted to the Royal Berkshire Hospital last Saturday morning (8) after an incident in Dinton Pastures Country Park in Hurst.

Police want to trace a yellow X-reg Fiat Punto that was in Woodley before going to Lavells Lake Car Park, in Sandford Lane, Hurst late on Friday evening (7) or in the early hours of Saturday.

Officers also want to Polish people if they have any information about the incident.

* Piotr Mylinski, 27, from Vauxhall Drive, Woodley, has been charged with assisting another to attempt to commit suicide. He is on remand until February 19 when he will reappear at Reading magistrates' court.
