THE mobile police station will be touring the West Berkshire countryside tomorrow to give villagers the chance to meet police.

The consultations, led by the Burghfield neighbourhood team, hope to encourage better communication between police, councils, businesses and the wider community.

Police Community Support Officer Steve Pengilly said: “This is an ideal opportunity for residents from the rural parts of the neighbourhood to meet members of their local neighbourhood policing team and everyone is welcome to come along.

“It is important that we get feedback directly from residents about any issues and concerns they have, so we can then feed this information back to the Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG), who can decide how to tackle any problems in the community.”

The neighbourhood team can be contacted on 0845 8 505 505.

The mobile police station is due to visit the following locations tomorrow (Saturday):

Padworth Village Hall, Parworth Lane, 10-10.45am

Sulhamstead Village Hall, Sulhamstead Hill, 11-11.45am

Burghfield Village Hall, Recreation Road, Burghfield Common, 12-12.45pm

Mortimer/Wokefield Horse and Groom car park, The Street, Mortimer Common, 1-1.45pm

Beech Hill Village Hall, Wood Lane, 2-2.45pm
