Vince Cable

LIB Dem twinkle-toed economic sage Vince Cable is telling all he knows on economic matters on Thursday.

The Twickenham MP is speaking at the Palmer Building, room 109, at Reading University’s Whiteknights campus from 7.30-9.30pm. The free meeting is open to the public.

Mr Cable, famed in some quarters for predicting the financial collapse and credit crunch years ago, is the Lib Dems’ treasury spokesman and deputy leader.

Reading East candidate Cllr Gareth Epps said: “Vince’s speeches are always a pleasure to watch as his quick wit and strong knowledge of all topics is clearly apparent.”

Peter Walley, President of the Reading University Lib Dem Society, said: “The Liberal Democrat party clearly cares about young people - several key MPs such as Lembit Opik, David Heath and Nick Clegg have been keen to come and talk to students in Reading.”
