THE HUNT is on to find a family willing to go back in time for a BBC TV series.

Wall to Wall, the company that made Edwardian Country House, is now looking for a family to give up their mobile phones and internet and go back to the technology of the 70s, before fast-forwarding through the 80s and 90s to the present day. The day of the Walkman, Teasmade and vintage games console may have come again.

Spokesman Michael Fraser said: “We’re currently looking for a family to take part and have decided to focus our search on the Reading area. Because of the town’s reputation for being at the forefront of technology, it‘s prominent position on the M4 corridor, and the wealth of technology companies situated there, we feel it’s the perfect place to look for our family.

“It’s an interesting social history project, which we’re hoping will give a fascinating insight into the way our lives have been transformed by domestic technology.”

Applicants must own a home and have at least three children aged between six and eighteen. Contact either Michael Fraser on 020 7241 9349 or email michael.fraser@walltowall.co.uk or call Laura Jackson on 020 7241 9308 or email laura.jackson@walltowall.co.uk
