Help out the elderly

Comment Bubble Comments (0) Printer Print Article

VOLUNTEERS are asked to come forward to help with an annual Christmas dinner for elderly people in Southcote.

The Southcote Community Forum is holding its AGM at 7.30pm on Monday, October 20, to start planning for this year’s event.

Jill Hodges said: “The Reading Lions come and help us serve a full Christmas dinner, but we’re

looking for people to come and provide some entertainment, maybe singing, playing the keyboard or dancing.”

The dinner will be at 12.30pm on Sunday, December 14 and also includes a raffle and bingo.

The AGM will be held in the Advice Shop in Coronation Square and all are welcome. Contact Jill Hodges on 0118 959 5307.
