A GANG of arsonists were at work in Caversham for the second night running.

Firefighters were called to a burning skip in Amersham Road at 10.30pm yesterday and had to return an hour later to deal with a can of petrol which had been set alight.

In the early hours of Monday morning a garage block in Monkley Court was deliberately set on fire, causing serious damage to a Chrysler Classic and 10 wheelie bins, and in Star Road thugs set fire to another bin.

Witnesses to any of the fires, or anyone who knows who is responsible, should contact PC Gemma Jerome on 08458 505505.
