Burglar breaks in through cat flap
A CAT flap burglar is on the prowl in Goring.
The raider stole jewellery from a house in Fairfield Road by reaching through the cat flap to open the door between 12.20-5pm on Wednesday this week and police believe they know who he is.
PC Ross Duff said: “A resident has told us about a young man in the area near to the time of burglary who asked if she wanted any odd jobs done.
“I appeal to anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously, or have any information to help with my investigation, to get in touch.”
The round-faced, clean-shaven man is stocky, in his 30s, about 5ft 6ins tall, and speaks with a local accent. He was wearing a grey beanie hat and sweatshirt, and drove a white, pick-up truck.
Contact PC Duff at Didcot police station through the police enquiry centre on 0845 850 5505 or call charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
