A TAXI crash in the early hours of Saturday left a passenger with serious head injuries.

The 19-year-old man was in a silver taxi involved in a smash in Chatteris Way, Lower Earley at 2.10am. Police are trying to establish what happened, and PC Andy Woodley said: “If anyone has any information I would urge them to contact me. The vehicle was being driven by a 37-year-old local man.”

The unnamed passenger has been taken to Oxford’s John Radcliffe hospital for specialist help and is in a critical condition. Call PC Woodley via 0845 8505 505.
