THREE railway level crossings across the district are undergoing vital maintenance work.

The level crossing in Midgham will be closed from 11pm on Monday, September 22, but is expected to be open again by 5am the following day.

Motorists should use the diversion via A4 Bath Road, Frouds Lane, A340 Basingstoke Road, Wasing Lane and Station Road. The Hungerford level crossing will be closed from Tuesday, September 23, at 11pm but should reopen by 5am the next day. There will be alternative route in place.

Work being carried out on the Ufton Nervet level crossing was expected to have been completed yesterday (Wednesday). A diversion was in place.
