Suspected arson wrecks car in Pangbourne

A SPORTS car was completely gutted in a suspicious blaze this afternoon.

The Audi TT was found burning near Bowden Green, off Yattendon Road, Pangbourne.

Crew manager Simon Abbott from Dee Road fire station said: "It was totally engulfed when we arrived. I think it was silver originally, but there was only about an inch of it left.

"The fire was definitely of doubtful origin, the tyres had been taken."

The crew were called out at 4.20pm, but soon had the fire under control.

Nobody was hurt.
