A 90-YEAR-OLD woman was conned by two callers claiming they were from her local Neighbourhood Watch scheme.

The old lady was in the garden of her Caversham home on Friday last week when the two men approached her.

They were waiting for her when she went indoors at 5.15pm and, after telling her they were from Neighbourhood Watch, asked where she kept her valuables.

She later discovered some of her belongings and a quantity of cash were missing.

Both men are white and in their late twenties to early thirties. One is around 5ft 9ins tall, average to medium build with stubble on his face.

His partner is slightly taller and wore a blue anorak and a distinctive a sun hat with a two inch brim.

Anyone who recognises the pair should contact Det Con Nicola Ainsley of Reading CID on 0845 850 5505 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Call 0845 850 5505 to speak to the Crime Reduction Office for home security advice.
