Hospice runners Karen Cove, Carol James, Julian and Nicola Walker and Debbie and George Friel, in the Asics British 10k Run

FRIENDS put their best feet forward for a hospice by taking part in the Asics British London 10k Run.

The group expects to collect more than £1,000 for the Duchess of Kent House hospice in Liebenrood Road after being sponsored to complete the run on July 6.

Hospice fundraising manager George Solly said: “This is the second year we have had supporters running in the London 10K for us and we are grateful to trustee Julian Walker for encouraging his friends to run for us again, not forgetting the other individuals and KMPG runners participating.”

The team included Karen Cove, Carol James, Julian and Nicola Walker, Debbie and George Friel, Veronica Englishby, Daniel Hogan and Irena Rattray.
