Trapped woman freed from bus

TRAFFIC was brought to a standstill in the town centre today (Thursday) while rescue workers fought to free a women who was trapped under a bus.

Police closed Market Place to traffic at around 1.20pm.

The 42-year-old from Calcot, thought to have suffered head injuries, was eventually taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital but police said her life was not in danger.
