Award to honour the best in business
BERKSHIRE Media Group has joined forces with Thames Valley Chamber to find the region’s most inspiring business.
Business Live Excellence Award, organised by The Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Group, in association with Chronicle publisher Berkshire Media Group, is open to all businesses from one person operations to long established companies.
The winner of the first Business Live Excellence Award will be announced at a Champagne reception at Business Live 08, the prestigious business event at Ascot Racecourse on July 15.
Paul Briggs, chief executive of the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Group, said: “There are many factors that make a business great, and it’s not always profit. We want this award to reflect the creativity, hard work, team spirit and innovation that all businesses have to rely on to succeed and we are delighted to be working in association with the Berkshire Media Group.
“This isn’t about the biggest or wealthiest business, it’s about inspiration and that means the winner could be an individual, a whole company, a new business or one that’s long established.”
Alan Bunce, business editor of Berkshire Media Group, said: “This is a great chance to highlight the rich vein of business talent that we have within the circulation area of our group of newspapers. I am sure there will be lots of nominations and it will be a tough job choosing the winner. It will be a fantastic accolade for the winner and their company.”
The competition is free to enter and entrants should have less than 500 staff at June 1, 2007. They will be asked to focus on achievements since that date. There will then be a two stage judging process.
Entries must be made via the Business Live 08 website at www.businesslive08.com
