Boy threatened in park

Printer Print Article

A SCHOOLBOY was grabbed by his clothes by a man who threatened to punch him in the face during a game of football in the park.

The 12-year-old victim was attacked after he tackled another boy, thought to be the man’s son.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the incident in Prospect Park, Reading on Sunday [11] at around 4.45pm.

PC Rosie Vosser said: “The boy has obviously been left very shaken by this incident. As this occurred during the day, there would have been a lot of people in the area at the time. I would ask that any of these people who may have witnessed the incident or who may have any other information, to get in touch.”

The man is black, aged between 30 and 40-years-old, with a bald head. He was wearing a tight black t-shirt, black jeans and black boots and had a silver watch on his wrist. He was seen driving off in a light blue people carrier with a registration number beginning with R.

Contact PC Vosser on 0845 8 505 505 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
