Man shot in Caversham
A 26-year-old man is seriously ill in hospital after being shot in the head in Caversham.
The incident happened at around 9.30pm yesterday (5/5) in Mead Close, and police are keen to identify a man who was seen in the area during the evening wearing black clothing and sat on a dark coloured motorbike.
Reading police commander superintendent Steve Kirk, said: “There may well be a degree of pre-planning to this incident, due to its nature and the fact that the person we believe may be the offender was in the area for up to five hours before the shooting.
“In that time he may have gone into a shop to buy something to eat or drink, or used a toilet so there may well be people in the area who have information that can help us with our investigation.”
Anyone with any information about this incident can contact Reading CID on 08458 505 505, quoting URN 1521 of 5/5/08, or call crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
