YOUNG fundraisers in Caversham and Emmer Green have handed over the fruits of their labour to two deserving causes.

Members of Amersham Road and Emmer Green youth and community centres held a variety of events over the last 12 months, including a table top fair, a funday and a face-painting session, collecting £85 for both Oxfam and Cancer Research.

Councillor Pete Ruhemann, Reading Borough Council’s children’s services leader, said: 'This is a great effort.
