Thames Valley Police are calling for witnesses to come forward after a £17,000 motorbike was stolen from a Waitrose car park by a masked man.

The incident occurred on Saturday, May 11 at around 10:40 am in the Crockhamwell Road car park at the Woodley Precinct.

The offender approached the victim who was parking his motorbike and threatened him to hand over his keys.

He has been described as a slim 5ft 8ins white man in his late twenties. He was seen wearing a black hooded top and blue denim jeans with a balaclava.

Investigating officer PC David Wrigley said: “At this stage of the investigation, I would like to reassure the public that this appears to be an isolated incident and officers are working to identify and locate those involved.

“Also, if you have any CCTV footage in the area or any dash-cam footage if you were driving in the area around the time, I’d also ask that you check any recordings in case it has captured something that could assist our investigation.

The motorbike is a Ducati Diavel 1260 and is worth around £17,000.
