A 60-year-old stands accused of voyeurism, having sex in a public toilet and amassing thousands of indecent images of children.
David Cosgrave, from Compton in West Berkshire, was formally charged at Reading Magistrates' Court on April 24.
He appeared on four counts of outraging public decency, four of voyeurism, and one of distributing indecent images of children.
In addition, he stands accused of possessing 8,083 indecent images of children.
The defendant has yet to enter a plea to any of the charges.
The alleged offences date between 2000 and 2020.
The prosecution contend that Cosgrave recorded people engaging in a private act without their consent on 14 separate occasions.
He has also been charged with having sex with others in public toilets.
Magistrates sent the case to Reading Crown Court, where Cosgrave will appear on May 27.
